Andrew graduated from St. Andrews University with first class honours in Spoken Russian. During his degree he lived in China for a year where amongst other things he sang Chinese songs in a Beijing nightclub and was the first westerner to interview the mother of Jung Chang (author of best-seller Wild Swans) in Chinese. In his final term at University he played Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest which did his degree no good at all but which convinced him he wanted to become an actor.

Andrew has toured internationally as Stanley in Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs, has toured nationally with Broadway Productions as Mickey in Golden Boy and with Splats Entertainments in a critically acclaimed performance as Ian in An Evening with Gary Lineker. Last year he translated and starred in the premiere production of the French play Trap For A Lonely Man at the Wimbledon Studio Theatre. Other notable roles include the title role in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, an ensemble role in News Revue and Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville at the Linbury Studio at the Royal Opera House.

In film Andrew’s fluent Russian has won him several roles including playing a bilingual American David in the Russian Language feature film Gribnoi Dozd’ . He has also appeared in numerous short films including New Year’s Eve by Colin Spector starring Kiera Knightly Losing Mary by Caribou Productions and The Harder they Fall directed by David Knight. Andrew will soon be appearing in L.V.J. – a technologically ground-breaking British science fiction spoof.
