Chris
Harris was born in Tomintoul in Scotland in 1948. The son of the
chief projectionist at the Regal Cinema, Glasgow, he was surrounded
by film in his formative years and won Mastermind 1971 with the
subject ‘Icelandic Cinema of the early 20th Century’.
He is a voracious carnivore and his favourite foods include black
pudding, raw liver, and Cumberland sausage, or as he puts it “anything
with a good dose o’ crap in it”. He lives with his
wife Mildred in Enfield, North London and enjoys horse riding
when he is not showing films, or creating gastronomic delights
at home.
We
would like to thank Chris for taking a cameo role in Antonio’s
new film, and for his support and enthusiasm in the ongoing secret
filming of his longstanding colleague, George, at the ArtHouse
Cinema in Regent Street.
