Tim
Higham was born in 1968 and partially educated at King's College School in
Wimbledon where he excelled at playing the clarinet, and pottery, but little
else. He has a Private Pilot’s Licence, enjoys eating spaghetti
bolognese, and has made several short films, which have premiered at festivals
in Rome, Toronto, Tokyo, Manchester and Madrid.
Some of his favourite films include Three Colours Red, Il Postino, Casablanca,
Evita, Kill Bill pt.1, In The Mood For Love, 2046, Taxidermia, Pulp Fiction,
The Aviator, There Will Be Blood, Wall-E, The Good The Bad And The Ugly, Inglourious
Basterds, and indeed almost any film by Emir Kusturica and Woody Allen.
The Adventures of George the Projectionist was his first feature film, and
was shot secretly over a period of 5 years at BAFTA headquarters in London...
He now works as a freelance film-maker, and his latest productions include the Wimbledon documentary 'Inside Wimbledon' and a new documentary now in post-production; 'Truck Racer'
'Eleven' was filmed back in 1999 to commemorate 30 years of the lunar landings.
It was shot using a clockwork Bolex 16mm camera and a collection of home-made
models. Total budget about £50. It premiered at the Toronto International
Short Film Festival 2000.
